Synopsis

The series “Swords into Plowshares” focuses on the fateful choices of Qian Hongchu (Bai Yu), Zhao Kuangyin (Zhu Yawen), and Guo Rong (Yu Haoming) amidst national turmoil.

Witnessing the chaos, they deeply understand that only by rebuilding order can suffering end. Qian Hongchu upholds the principle of “protecting the territory and ensuring the people’s safety,” safeguarding his region; Guo Rong aspires to restore social order, but dies young; Zhao Kuangyin, adapting to the changing times, establishes the Song dynasty and implements reforms.

Ultimately, amidst the historical tide and the people’s hopes, Qian Hongchu surrenders his territory to the Song dynasty, laying a peaceful foundation for the continuation and development of Chinese civilization.
